Another point for Kierkegaard

I really like philosophy, and I gotta say, when it comes to existentialism, Soren Kierkegaard is my man! I just ran into this quote , which I think is classic insightful, cynical Kierkegaard:

“People demand freedom of speech as a compensation for the freedom of thought which they seldom use.”

Too often true! Soren, you says it like it is!

    That’s a great quote. In our particular culture at this particular moment, kids seem brought up to believe that it is a great waste of freedom not to reach opinions and reach them quickly, the better to start expressing them (and yes, I’m aware of the irony of saying this in the comments section of a blog). Really, it’s a great labor-saving device.
